Wisdom is one thing: keep your attention on the ruling intelligence that directs all else.

Most regrettable decisions happen when one part of us takes the wheel too quickly. Fatigue says quit. Pride says retaliate. Excitement says commit before checking the details. None of these signals are useless, but none is qualified to govern alone. Reason is the faculty that can gather them, compare consequences, and choose a course consistent with your values. It works best when you invite it in before the pressure peaks. Build small checkpoints into your day: before you send the message, agree to the expense, make the promise, or interpret someone else's silence. Ask what you know, what you are assuming, and what a wiser version of you would advise. This is not a call to become detached from feeling. It is a call to give feeling a thoughtful partner. Today, make one important choice after a short period of quiet rather than in the first wave of emotion.
