Marcus Aurelius Stoic teachings
Marcus Aurelius: Consider all matter and your tiny…
Consider all matter and your tiny share; all time and your nearly instant portion; all fate and your minute place within it.

A wider view can be medicine for self-importance and despair alike. Your problems are real, but they do not contain the whole universe. Your accomplishments matter, but the world does not rest solely on your shoulders. We occupy a small place in a vast sweep of nature and time, and that can be relieving. It means you do not need to control everything to live well. You need to care for the portion entrusted to you. Today, when a mistake or decision feels enormous, widen the frame. Take a breath, look outside, remember the many lives continuing beyond your immediate concern. Then narrow the frame again to the next responsible act. Send the correction, do the work, show the kindness, or accept the limit. Humility is not thinking you are worthless. It is seeing your true scale and using your small, real influence with care.
